Read the writing contest winners' entries here.

Angela Johnson answered questions about what it's like to be an author

Ms. Johnson signed books for interested participants.

Teens had a chance to talk with Mr. Johnson one-on-one and share their thoughts about poetry, fiction, writing and publishing. Teen participants enjoyed having a chance to interact with Ms. Johnson after the presentation.

Hayes Junior High students enjoyed meeting Ms. Johnson: (from left) Tonisha Hopkins, Antwan Campbell, Sara Marshall, Nikitas Smaragdas, and Cassie Evans. TeenXTreme contest winners and runners-up had lunch with the author. Seen above, from left, Zak Kidd of Austintown, Samantha Douglas of Struthers, Traci Walter of Austintown, Bracia Mitchell of Youngstown, and Cherise Benton of Youngstown.

Cherise Benton reads her contest-winning entry to Ms. Johnson. Library staff members Deborah McCullough, John Waller (Xtreme Team librarian), Library Director Carlton Sears, Beverly Chearno (Xtreme Team librarian), and Cindy Beach (Xtreme Team librarian) enjoyed meeting Ms. Johnson.
